An experience for more than 10 years
Our Lims Quality is the result of Loc@soft experience. Its partnership with different laboratory players (Quality Manager, Laboratory Manager), Consultants who are experts in certifications, Formatives specialized in laboratory management and its proved skills in IT are allowed to Loc@soft a highly specialization in Lims editing.
Founded in 1999 by Patrick Virot, Lims Architect and currently CEO, Loc@soft has wanted from the beginning to edit an efficient Lims. It has already differed from Lims presents on the market.
A first Lims called Lims 2000, has been installed in a high-sized French laboratory, after a meticulous study of needs pointed out by laboratories about sample and analysis management.
In 2002 a new Lims is dedicated to industrial laboratories and is completely adapted to their process. In 2005 a new version of the Lims is edited and oriented to communication between laboratories and their clients via a Web interface.
Thanks to its privileged contact and closed partnership with laboratories, Loc@soft has known to understanding their issues and editing a Lims which fit perfectly with its clients' requirements and contribute to their success.
Lims.net, the 100% Web-based Lims
In 2006 a strategic choice brings Loc@soft to the forefront of innovation in Lims editing. In order to provide a Lims which fit more perfectly with laboratories' needs, Patrick Virot decided to use Web technology to create a new Lims, Lims.fr.
Lims.fr was in France the first 100% Web-based software with a n-tier architecture, intuitive, remote configurable and communicating, being intended to eventually become a supplement of laboratory Intranet. This new solution was completely rewritten and designed by IT Engineers aware of user-friendly, intuitive, efficient and communicating aspects that a Lims must have. Senior Laboratory Managers provided Loc@soft technical team with advices in order to make Lims.fr more competitive in analysis management and certification respect. Lims.fr became configurable software for every type of laboratory. Lims.net is the flexible version of Lims.fr and is dedicated to the international market.
Thanks to their user-friendly ergonomics, Lims.fr and Lims.net are acclaimed by our clients and world-famous laboratory suppliers. Lims.fr and Lims.net do not impose you new working process, they are adapted to yours by proposing a Lims which fit precisely to your needs.

Lims.fr is used by numerous European laboratories and Lims.net is currently installed in North-American laboratories. Their functionalities continue to be improved from our new clients' requirements. Quality and Laboratory Managers are more and more to rely on Loc@soft in order to benefit of these new generation Lims. For many years, our Lims Architects are approached by the European Union to expertise laboratories.
